The Edward Curtis Project will be a photographic and spirit catching investigation between the life and controversial photographic legacy of Edward Curtis and the documentation and ultimate dialogue between his "non-vanishing" subjects in the The North American Indian Project. A commission by The North Vancouver Presentation House, The Edward Curtis Project was awarded a prestigious Cultural Olympiad Award for development and will bring together collaborators Brenda Leadlay (co-director/producer), Marie Clements (writers/co-director) and Rita Leister (photographer) to create a multi-disciplinary theatre performance and photographic installation to premiere in 2009.
